Frequently Asked Questions
Who can take part?
Anyone who creates eligible original content featuring ZoeDIY-related products or materials can submit it for review, subject to the final regional and legal eligibility terms. There is no follower minimum, purchase requirement, sales quota or advance application. ZoeDIY has not yet finalized all country and age eligibility restrictions.
What kind of content qualifies?
Original public videos and photo/text posts showing real DIY projects, experiences, tutorials or useful answers involving ZoeDIY products or materials. Content must be your own, truthful and compliant with the platform and the law. Posts made only to advertise or manipulate engagement do not qualify.
Can I submit Reddit posts and comments?
An original Reddit post or substantive Q&A comment may qualify if its views can be verified, the public content clearly identifies ZoeDIY by name, a relevant permitted website/product link, logo or #ZoeDIY, and the subreddit allows rewarded brand-related content. A hashtag is not required. Do not add unsolicited commercial links or brand promotions where community rules forbid them. Clearly disclose any potential reward relationship.
Do I need to buy anything or apply before posting?
No. You can create and post first. You do not need to register, obtain pre-approval or place a ZoeDIY order. A ZoeDIY order number is optional when submitting.
How should I feature ZoeDIY in my post?
Include at least ONE clear ZoeDIY brand reference when you publish: #ZoeDIY, a ZoeDIY website or product link in your public post, the written or on-screen brand name ZoeDIY, a clearly recognisable ZoeDIY logo, an audible mention of “ZoeDIY” in a video, or a verifiable tag of an official ZoeDIY account. You do not need to use all methods, and the hashtag is not mandatory. The brand reference must appear in the public work or its caption/description, not only in the submission form, a private message or an unrelated profile bio. Posts without any clear qualifying ZoeDIY brand reference are ineligible and their views will not count. All mentions, links and branded content must follow platform/community rules and applicable paid-promotion disclosures.
When can I submit?
Submit once your work has been publicly posted for at least 30 days. Include verifiable publication dates and your corresponding analytics screenshots. Only verified qualified views can be counted.
Which social platforms can I use?
Eligible original content may be considered from video/photo platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Reddit. Other platforms may be reviewed if they provide verifiable views and allow the content. Eligibility depends on actual data and platform rules, not merely the platform name.
How do you calculate views across platforms?
For each distinct original work, the highest qualifying platform counts at 100%; all other qualifying platforms collectively count at 50%. The adjusted total for that work is capped at twice the highest platform count: min(2 × M, M + 0.5 × S), where M is the highest qualified platform's views and S is the sum on the others.
What if I post the same content in several places?
Submit the different platform links together as ONE original work. It earns one adjusted view total, not a separate reward per upload. Repeated uploads on the same platform or minor edits of identical work do not automatically qualify as new works.
Are likes, shares and comments included in the view total?
No. Verified video plays or post views are the quantitative basis. Likes, comments, shares and votes help reviewers assess authenticity and engagement, but they are not converted into views. Missing analytics does not count as zero or as proof of a valid view count.
How is my monthly reward determined?
The adjusted totals of different approved original works are combined within the applicable monthly review period. You receive only the single highest tier reached for that period, not every lower tier added together. The precise month attribution/cutoff policy still requires final publication terms.
What is the minimum needed to earn?
At least 5,000 qualified adjusted views in the relevant monthly total are required for the first paying tier: $20 cash plus a $10 ZoeDIY discount code, with a combined face value of $30. The highest tier offers $450 cash plus a $150 discount code, with a combined face value of $600.
What do I need to submit?
Creator name, email address, country, content link or ID, and platform analytics screenshots that show the relevant views/plays and publication date. Supply separate links/screenshots when the same work appears on multiple platforms. A ZoeDIY order number is optional. Payment account information is not collected in this initial form.
How are posts reviewed?
ZoeDIY verifies at least one clear, public brand reference in each submitted platform post (such as #ZoeDIY, a relevant ZoeDIY website/product link, written or spoken brand name, official account tag or recognisable logo). Only qualified posts and their verifiable organic views count. We also check originality and rights, real ZoeDIY relevance, publication date, analytics screenshots, required commercial disclosures, community rules, duplicate works and cross-platform calculations. Purchased/fake views, plagiarism, impersonation or promotional rule violations can lead to rejection.
How will I receive the cash reward?
Cash is issued only after ZoeDIY approves the eligible content and the calculated reward. The payout method, exact payment date, supported countries, and any applicable tax handling must be finalized before the campaign goes live; no payment details should be sent through the public submission form.
Is the discount code a gift card?
No. It is a one-time fixed-value ZoeDIY discount code for the approved winner, not a gift card, store credit or cash. It cannot be transferred, given away, sold or resold.
When does my discount code expire?
It is valid for three calendar months from the date of issue. The exact expiration timestamp follows the store's configured timezone and will be stated at issuance. Codes are limited to the designated customer, can be used once and cannot be combined with other discounts.
Is there a minimum spend? What if I use only part of the code?
There is no minimum purchase amount. If you use a $40 code on $20 of eligible merchandise, up to $20 applies and the remaining $20 does not carry over. Discount codes do not hold a reusable balance. Product, shipping and tax eligibility depend on the final tested Shopify setup.
Can ZoeDIY reuse my content?
Yes. By actively accepting the content-use agreement and submitting a qualifying entry, you give ZoeDIY a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, display, share and reasonably adapt your submitted original photos, videos and captions for ZoeDIY brand promotion, including its website, product pages, social media, marketing emails and paid advertisements. You keep your copyright, and ZoeDIY does not need separate approval for each use within this scope. Reasonable edits include cropping, resizing and adding captions without changing the meaning. This license covers only rights you own or are authorised to grant: third-party music, other people's images or voices, and protected third-party material may need separate clearance. ZoeDIY may request proof or omit uncleared elements, and submission does not guarantee being featured. For rights questions or requests concerning identifiable people, contact partners@zoediy.com.
